Meridian Schools Placed On Probation

Just received word that the state has put Meridian Public Schools on probation. Apparently, a teacher at Meridian High School copied the English state test in 2007, and used it as a teaching guide to prepare students for the 2008 test. This is a major violation.

Of course, even more concerning is the fact that MHS principal Vicki Hood knew of the incident and chose to do nothing about it.

Meridian Public Schools have stated that they are taking steps to prevent this from happening in the future, but in our opinion, the teacher as well as Ms. Hood should be relived of their duties at MHS.
